Before Your Appointment
Preparing properly for your appointment is one of the ways you can ensure a successful result for your permanent makeup. Please follow these easy instructions before your arrival.
- No caffeine on the day of your appointment.
- Do not work out on the day of your appointment.
- No alcohol the night before your procedure.
- Do not tweeze, thread, undergo electrolysis, or wax 5-7 days before your appointment.
- No aspirin or ibuprofen one week before your treatment. Tylenol is OK.
- No fish oil or vitamin E 1 week before your treatment.
- No blood thinners one week before your appointment.
- No sunburn two weeks before your appointment.
- No Retin-A, lasers, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels three weeks before your appointment.
- No Botox/Dysport 3 weeks before your procedure.
- Must be off Accutane at least one year before treatment.
After Your Appointment
Keep the area clean and free from bacteria; following these simple steps can achieve the best outcome for your new permanent makeup.
- Do not touch, rub, scratch, pick, or peel the treated area.
- Keep your hair off your eyebrows for the first week.
- Do not sleep in the treated area for the first week.
- Do not get your eyebrows wet for ten days.
- Do not exert yourself to sweat for 7-10 days.
- No makeup, creams, cleansers, lotions, gels, or any product on the eyebrows for ten days (unless directed to by your technician).
- Do not expose the healing skin to the sun, tanning beds, hot tubs, sauna, jacuzzi, beach, lake, ocean, or pool for ten days.
- No tweezing, waxing, threading, facials, Botox, or massage for at least two weeks post-procedure.
- No chemical treatments, retinol, AHAs, microdermabrasion, or lasers for at least one-month post-procedure.
NOTE: Your new makeup will look very dark in the first few days after your treatment; do not be alarmed, as this is 100% normal. It is also normal for some fading to take place. Be patient; your actual results will emerge around the 4th week. The shape and color can be adjusted/perfected at the touch-up appointment as needed.
